Invitation to Sociology: A Humanistic Perspective by Peter L. Berger

5.0

My second time reading this short but wise book. It is a very particular view of sociology, but one that still represents much of how I think about the discipline. In terms of writing style, it's a model to be emulated. It is no wonder that it has sold over a million copies--quite a feat for an academic book, which usually sell about 19 copies. Lots of things I didn't quite catch the first time around too. Absolutely recommended for anyone interested in knowing about sociology.
