Rebels Don't Fall for Tomboys by Emma Dalton

4.0

This is the fifth instalment in the Invisible Girls series, but you don’t have to read the first four to enjoy this one. That said, there are a lot of cute references throughout to the original four couples!
This book is so incredibly sweet. Bailey and Zane are now sixteen (they were only six years old in the last book in the series), and despite being opposites in personality, they’re perfect for each other. I love how the author’s definition of “rebel” is a football player who doesn’t care about his grades and spends all his free time reading. Mmk. Nevertheless, this was a cute story that had some well-dealt with themes of grief as both Bailey and Zane have lost loved ones in the past.
Like the others in this series, this book reads as a lower-YA (despite the characters being sixteen), and it’s perfectly clean–no swearing, smut, or violence. 4 stars
