How to Kill Your Family by Bella Mackie

4.0

I loved the book, I even quite liked the twist. I hated the ending.

Why on earth would we not get to see Grace’s reaction? We just get told ‘this is what I’ve done and there’s nothing you can do about it’ from the most unlikeable character in the whole book.

I knew I hated Harry from the moment I read ‘I don’t have a problem with any of this, by the way. I believe that business should regulate itself, and that legislation designed to protect workers exponentially stifles innovation and growth.’

Grace is not a great person by any means but Harry is way worse and so it’s infuriating to let him have his way and that’s that.

I understand Bella was setting this book up for the sequel, I’m hoping that will redeem this forced-for-shock-value ending.
