Thoughts:
There isn’t much to say that I didn’t say in my review of the previous instalment. We follow the same characters except this time we a following Leila. She has a sad history. I really felt for her.
We get introduced to a new character. Someone from Mr Vernon’s past. There is an over arching plot that is slowly developing and it has be very intrigued.
One thing I noted in this instalment was the role of Olly and Izzy their character have a lot less development than the other misfits. And their characters don’t add anything or move the plot forward. I kind of wish they weren’t included if I’m being honest but who knows maybe the following books will prove me wrong 🤷🏽♀️
Representation:
Gay (mentor character), POC (side character), Disability - Wheelchair (side character)
Trigger Warning:
Bullying
