A Feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin

3.0

3.50/5 Many people have said that the drop in quality from ASOS to AFFC is staggering. While I do agree with their statement, I still believe that AFFC is a worthwhile entry into the series.

The main reason for the drop in quality is that some character POVs (Brienne’s) seem like they drag on forever, without advancing the story at all. There were however new character POVs, like Cersei’s that interspersed the chapters of, “I’m looking for a maiden of three-and-ten, with a fair face and auburn hair.” That sentence pretty much sums up all of Brienne’s chapters throughout the books (which were a lot, and long).

Character POV Rankings:
1. Cersei Lannister
2. Jaime Lannister
3. Alayne
4. Arya Stark
5. Victarion Greyjoy
6. Arianne Martell
7. Aeron Damphair
8. Samwell Tarly
9. Brienne of Tarth
