The Shuddering

DID NOT FINISH
Had to stop at 51% and I'm kinda disappointed in the fact that I could not finish this book. I tried, ya'll, I really tried, but I just could not relate or even like the main 4-5 characters after being introduced to their bad reality show drama. The more interesting horror aspects of the book were too far between the misconception/assumption/misperception of April, the "tagalong" girlfriend and the fact that the rest of the cabin residents thought way too highly of themselves to be able to sit down and have a conversation. I was supposed to be scared, but I was more horrified at having to be privy to Jane's hypocrisy, Ryan's narcissism, Lauren's being wrapped up in Jane's and Ryan's issues to form an opinion of her own and Sawyer's inability to be upfront and honest about his own feelings. I'm with April on this one about wanting to leave. Run, honey, and get far far way.
