This book started strong with some gore elements, and I got to see the type of messed-up characters we were dealing with. Lapvona made me feel thankful that I was not born during those times in which the story takes place, as I know this book was just scratching the surface of what society was like. The book fell flat for me near the end, and I somewhat pushed myself to get through it but the writing was what really impressed me.
