Trick Roller by Cordelia Kingsbridge

5.0

Holy shit this was so good, I'm still shaking from that ending!!!

After absolutely adoring Kill Game it was no question that I would preorder Trick Roller and while I originally played with the thought of only reading the rest of the series when all five books are released I just couldn't hold back from reading Trick Roller more or less right away.

And ho boy, I do not regret it!!!
I absoluted devoured this book and read it in more or less a single sitting.

Admittedly it's kind of an interlude, but I did not mind that at all - it picks up 3 months after Kill Game ended, with the Seven of Spades serial killer presumed dead by almost everyone.
Levi and Dominic, who have started dating in those past months, know better, but they have no hard evidence - yet.

Of course in the meantime, there's a new exciting and complex case, and I believe it and its surrounding circumstances serve as a setup for more intense things to come, especially regarding Levi and Dominic's personal demons...
I love both main characters and I enjoy reading about them immensely, and the same goes for the vast and diverse cast of family, friends, collegues and more.

I honestly can't wait for the next book and I'm already looking forward to rereading the entire series!!!
