chrustir 's review for:
The Serpent and the Rainbow
by Wade Davis
This was required reading for an anthropology course I took in college and I seemed to be one of the few students that genuinely enjoyed it. There were portions that were a little slow-moving, but, as a whole, I found it fascinating. I learned a great deal about Haitian culture and religion and it was presented in an interesting and accessible way. While reading this, I would talk about it to anyone who would listen. I'm sure I was very annoying, but oh, well.
