Life, the Universe and Everything by Douglas Adams

3.0

I really, really, REALLY struggled to finish this book. It was not on purpose, which also added to my frustration on not being able to finish this book on time. Everytime I attempted to read this, I tend to fall asleep. Listening to the audiobook as I read along the book really pushed me forward during my attempt to re-read from the beginning.

It's hard to convey my feelings for this book in this review. All I know was that this was an incoherent mess for me. Or maybe I'm just too stupid? The Hitchhiker's Guide and the books are meant to be a hot yet humorous mess. With this one, I struggled to get into it?

I did appreciate that the Krikkits were somehow an allegory for xenophobia if a society doesn't open itself to ideas and the concept of co-living and sharing the world with other foreign entities.

I guess that's all I can say...????

I hope my reading speed changes in the next book.
