Chosen Prey by John Sandford
4.0
It is my opinion now that I'm twelve books into the Lucas Davenport series that you are never going to go wrong with one of these mystery/suspense stories from John Sandford. Although some are better than others, they all so far have given a suspenseful tale. Lucas Davenport, while certainly not perfect, is a character who is well written and one that you get to know so well you almost can't believe he doesn't exist somewhere in the frozen tundra of Minnesota.
This story, while certainly not unique for the series, was suitably suspenseful with a distasteful bad guy for Lucas to chase after. I was definitely pulled into the story.
I was starting it for one of my Popsugar 2019 reads but liked it enough that I finished it before 2019 so that says something.
