Nothing special about it. More of a self-discovery than a romcom book.
So the main character is the stick-in-the-mud career-oriented woman who gets dumped. She goes to a small town. She sees her work nemesis who turns out to be more like her. Anyway, there’s not much of a conflict between the two and they got together pretty early on in the book. The main character has a younger sister and that, I would say, is the biggest conflict in the book. A conflict that I did not care for. Oops
I forgot the main character’s name… but she’s not that interesting or engaging. She’s very typical career-oriented woman. She reminded me of Sandra Bullock in the Proposal.
The man, love interest, whose name I also forgot, is also not very interesting. He’s the same career-oriented man that seemed to have no emotions and yet smiles only for the main character.
The sister Libby!! (I remember her name) she’s not that interesting either haha. Sorry!!
Overall, I’d say that the writing is addicting and easy to read but the storyline is not as original and memorable as Beach Read…
