I did not know that this book was part of a series, as it was a gift, so this is the first book in the Once Upon a Con series I am reading. After some background research, however, it doesn't seem entirely necessary to read these in order. All that being said I thought this was a fun, easy book read! Closer to a 3.5 for me, but I think the story would be more enjoyable after reading the first two and getting background on the whole world that Poston created. It was hard for me to grasp the entirety of the Starfield universe and its impact with this book alone. The storyline and connection between Rosie and her mom was super cute in my opinion and executed well. The only big critique I would give to this book was that I wish there were more scenes focused in on Rosie and Vance! Maybe it was because the book was pretty short and quick, but I would have enjoyed more Rosie and Vance together content. Especially the scenes when they read together are wholesome and provided some good buildup, which I adore.
