I'm of two minds about this book - I really liked the character Frank, found the mother Adele shallow and couldn't quite decide whether the boy was a believable narrator. That would all have been alright, but I didn't like the slow build-up to what was so obviously going to happen. However, I enjoyed the ending.
(I rarely watch movies and don't follow any news about them so didn't know this had been made into one. I feel that I wouldn't have enjoyed it.)
