While Lion's Den was tense, surprising and twisty in the best way, The Siren felt a bit too cliche for me. It was pretty obvious what happened from around the halfway point, and it was also fairly clear how the situation would be resolved. It wasn't bad, per se, and the author is very good at writing this sort of tropical thriller, but it's also nothing amazing.
