This audiobook is something. It felt cheesy, the weird sound effects and the singing took me out of the spookiness of the book. It would be this big build up then singing, and it just lost all it momentum. It also didn’t feel like a Shirley Jackson book it felt like a book that a college theater kid wrote after watching the tv show.
