I fluctuated between giving this book 4 or 5 stars. After finishing it, I've landed on 5.

I really enjoyed this book, and not just because of the spice (4/5 spicy rating, for those who are curious.) And also not just because I myself am a huge history nerd (BA in history). Emmy was so relatable as a character, for a plethora of reasons. Ryan was a cutie patootie who reminded me a lot of my husband, especially with how much he loved seeing Emmy get excited about her passions.

The writing itself was witty and funny, making it easy to get through. The plot was great. I love forced proximity and enemies to coworkers to lovers. If I hadn't started this book during the holiday season and then proceeded to get sick, I would have finished this book much sooner, I suspect.

If you're looking for a cute read about two nerds falling in love, look no further. This book was great, from start to finish!

Thank you to the author for an advanced copy of this novel.
