"I would do anything to take it back.......no more mutants."

This entire volume was brilliant from beginning to end. I have a lot of strong feelings about this entire arc, and there's times this story isn't always handled perfectly. Here, the pacing is flawless, the writing is detailed without ever feeling expository, and the art is fantastic. The amount of effort put into the newspaper pages is also incredible.
Every character is perfectly written. Despite there being a ton of very well-known characters here, every single one of them retains their unique speaking style and is true to their usual self in terms of how they react to the universe altering crisis.
The characters I already love really shine here (Peter Parker, Kitty Pryde, Rogue) and the ones I always dislike are actually more tolerable than usual (Scott Summers, I'm looking at you without having laser beams in my eyes).
I honestly can't even say the last time I was as emotionally invested in a comic as I am with this one, but I'm really looking forward to continuing the series.
