I thought this was a clever spin on historical events that have taken place in war time but also linking in an important theme of feminism. In true Coelho fashion, there was a underlying message throughout, that was basically that you should allow yourself to love and be loved and it’s the only way to live. In the case of this book and it’s key character, it’s very true. Downside is definitely that toward the end it seemed to skip over a bunch where there was potential to develop further and produce more details.
