The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris

Did not finish book. Stopped at 40%.
DNF @ 40%

I’m making it a goal this year to read only the books I’m really enjoying, so my DNFing will be more enforced than usual. This wasn’t horrible, but I stopped because:
- The writing. This started as a screenplay, and you can tell.
- Believability. I guess this can be chalked up to the writing, but it didn’t feel real. Living in a concentration camp seemed like an easily ignored backdrop. I’ve read first hand accounts & other fictional stories, and what was happening in this book truly pales in comparison. It’s also come out that there are a lot of inaccuracies, and I’m not interested in reading that when there are better options out there.

All in all, I just wasn’t compelled to continue.
