Bound in Black by Juliette Cross
4.0
I was given a free ARC of this re-release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
1st book: 4 stars
2nd book: 3.5 stars
3rd book: 4 stars
One of my biggest pet peeves is the miscommunication trope or a lack of communication which our main characters seem to be cured of in this book which I very much appreciated.
I am glad I agreed to ARC/review it. The story was engaging and well-paced even when it frustrated me. This series left me wanting more lore and world building, but I was not unhappy with the story that was told; I just wish I knew if there was more on the horizon in this world to flesh out the overarching plot.
The first book in the series is on sale this week for $0.99 and I think it is certainly worth a read. Juliette Cross writes fun books, great escapes from reality.
I would remiss if I did not mention the new covers, they are fantastic. Usually, I'm not a fan of cover revamping but these are beautiful.
