This was a wonderful book to listen to. It's so densely packed with ideas that I'm sure I missed a large percentage of them. But, the first couple of chapters alone can give one much to think about regarding one's purpose and sense of it in life. The paradigm of soul presented in this book seems to be much inline with the way of liminal thinking to arrive at truth. I mean to idea of the soul and its importance for us cannot be confirmed by a scientific genetic or environmental paradigm, but neither can it be fully understood through a singular religious belief system. It is of the realm of myth which has real world functioning while at the same time being embellished by an understanding of world mythology and experience of personal practice. Therefore I believe, I feel, I experience and reason that the soul and its understanding lies somewhere in that predawn or disk liminal gray zone. But knowing its there helps one to navigate both worlds of darkness and light that exist in our reality.
