I LOVED this book. Poor Frankie really goes though it but what a great story. I’ll never forget her.
As a nation we are pitifully undereducated about the Vietnam War. I knew vets were treated terribly upon their return. I didn’t know how the women who served weren’t even acknowledged as vets. It’s infuriating and shameful. I’m so glad that this difficult and tragic subject was so well addressed here. Ms. Hannah really did her thing. It’s a thing of beauty.
