Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

I read Armada first and although there were parts of that book that I liked, overall I felt like it was a bit juvenile and tried too hard to play to the nerd crowd (of which I am a proud member). Thankfully, I didn't let that stop me from reading this amazing book. This is the book that Armada was trying to be, and I loved it from the very beginning. This was like the plot of a great video game or a blockbuster movie. Although many of the references were beyond me, I appreciated that they were based on reality and that there are people out there who did get them. Wade was a great protagonist with a blend of vulnerable and cocky that works without being annoying. I also felt like Cline did a good job playing with the romance and presenting a story that is actually pretty common online. This was definitely right up my alley, but I'm glad others are responding to it as well. Just a fun adventure that keeps up a strong pace the whole book.
