The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood

5.0

You do not need to read the first book but why would you deny yourself a piece of the puzzle that is the MaddAddam trilogy? The novels tie together with such subtlety that you find yourself relating the events well after reading them and flipping back just to make sure your assumptions are correct. Being immersed in this story is riveting and terrifying. Atwood's creation is too realistic to brush off once the book is closed; lingering at the back of my mind until a quiet moment releases it back into conscious acknowledgement. Being part of Atwood's vision has been an experience unlike any other.
