Story Genius: How to Use Brain Science to Go Beyond Outlining and Write a Riveting Novel by Lisa Cron

4.0

Interesting and inspiring - especially for someone who has always been fascinated by fairytale and folklore. The basic idea is to have a moral or single point to prove, and the character development is used to prove the singular point. Structure is important, but without a singular idea the story becomes paint by numbers instead of something that sticks with people. Not 100% in but it made me do some reassessment and I'd suggest it to any writer wanting to approach writing differently.
