Leather & Lark by Brynne Weaver

5 ⭐️ How is this better than [b:Butcher & Blackbird|196864520|Butcher & Blackbird (The Ruinous Love Trilogy, #1)|Brynne Weaver|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1692083376l/196864520._SY75_.jpg|148641851] !?

Seriously, I'm fairly certain I love this book more than Book 1, and that's really saying something. I'm not the biggest dark romance reader, but this series is exactly the level of dark I can easily enjoy and never get enough.

This second instalment in the Ruinous Love series is the story of how Lark (FMC), Sloane's best friend, and Rowan's big brother Lachlan (MMC) end up falling completely head over heels for each other despite a less than smooth first impression. When someone starts killing off people around Lark's family and all signs point to Lachlan, Lark finds herself scheming to make sure that the Kanes are protected from her own crazy family. And what better plan to ensure it than a fake, shotgun marriage?

This book has everything I love, and then some. I don't have a single thing to say or comment on in any negative way. Seriously, I'm nitpicky -always-, and even I'm quiet. I'm sat. I feel like my life from now on will be just me waiting for book 3 to break my heart. And after what we see from Rose and Fionn in this book, I already know I'm probably going to cry. I love them both already.

It truly has every trope I love, every detail just perfect. The audiobook was unbelievably amazing and the Dual narration was lovely. As it is, it makes the audiobook feel completely immersive, so much more of an experience. And now, I'm almost certain I'm ruined for all other audiobooks!

Truly, I can not recommend this book -this trilogy- and this audiobook enough.
