The Day We Met by Rowan Coleman

5.0

I read this book out of personal interest due to brain atrophy that may or may not be related. Claire is totally relatable and I found the authors ability to portray her slowly slipping away - even from the reader - to be quite poignant. The reader almost got to say "goodbye" to Claire whilst she was still Claire, which I really appreciated. We don't get to be witnesses to her total decline, this leaving the character with dignity and a true sense of who she was. Loved it!
