I really enjoyed this and felt like it tackled being queer back in the 50s really well with coming out and figuring out if someone was gay and how someone would react to their situation. I really loved the yearning that Eddie had and the cautiousness that Mark displayed.
It is a 2 POV book which is nice so you can understand what each character was going through at the time so it made me hooked in a way that i cared for each person.
What i did not enjoy was the long monologues that kind of went nowhere. I felt like there were too many that kind of distracted from the story, especially since it was 3rd person style. It got kind of confusing.
Still good overall though. Pleasant read.
