There Is No Devil by Sophie Lark

5.0

Sophie Lark! How you have me simping for straight up psychopaths ill never know but never stop because I love it and I love Cole Blackwell!
I absolutely loved the first book and didn’t think it could get any better and then I read this.

I almost have no words for how much I enjoyed this book. I could not put it down and basically read it in one sitting.
It focused a lot more on our main characters and their relationship, Mara and Cole.
Mara and Cole open up to each other in ways never expected, sharing some of their darkest secrets. Neither of them judges the other and embraces their darkness. Throughout this book we see Cole guide Mara, not just through the art world but through her trauma and teaches her to embrace this new part of her that is coming out. While Mara is guiding Cole through his newfound emotions.
Though everything is looking great for our main characters there is still the threat of Shaw leering over them, but its not just Shaw. There is Officer Hawkins who is hell-bent on pinning the blame on Cole.
The ending was truly great and had me on the edge of my seat. I love all these characters and I am sad to see the end of them.
Highly recommend this duet if you are a dark romance reader.
