Fairy, Texas by Margo Bond Collins

4.0

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
Overall I liked this book quite a bit. The story line was unique and entertaining. You can tell that right away once you see that Fairy, TX is hiding fairies. The characters were personable and felt like real teens dealing with crazy things beyond their control. It was a quick, fun read but I honestly found it lacking in depth. I really like a book where you feel like you understand what makes a character tick and I did not find that in this book. I never really understood what any of the characters were thinking and why they did half the things they did. This book has the seemingly required love triangle but the relationships between the three of them only ever seem superficial and the suddenly, at the end of the book, one boy wins out and they are so in love. It would have been so nice to truly see the relationship grow and turn in to something real. Overall this book really is good just don't read it expecting a book you can sink your teeth in to.
