The Rule of Four by Ian Caldwell

1.0

The back cover makes this sound like a book I would like. College students solve puzzles in a historical text to find a priceless treasure. Maybe they could take some of that info and make it into a script for the next National Treasure.

The other 50% of the book is trash. We're from Princeton, we're so much smarter and worldy and complicated than the rest of the world, blah blah. Proctors and campus police are scary. The girlfriend subplot is annoying and goes nowhere. None of the characters are likeable. They don't deserve the treasures of Florence.

Now after writing my review I think I'll have to change it from 2 stars to 1 star. This one's going to Goodwill
