An absolute delight of a book. It was wholesome and cozy.
No spoilers: The story follows Viv as she embarks on “retirement” from adventuring. After completing one final quest, she finds herself in a new town at the start of a new venture…opening a coffee shop! However, no one knows what coffee is and she’s worried she won’t succeed. The story is about finding yourself, contentment in a new purpose in life, building friendships and a found family.
If you’re a fan of slice of life, what happens after the “end” of the adventure…this is for you! The characters are so sweet and the story incredibly cozy. It’s a simple plot, and was well developed.
Like the quote on the front of the book says - it’s such a “kind” novel!
I hope Travis writes many more stories in this world! I will read them all.
