When I Was Your Girlfriend by Nikki Harmon
5.0
***No Synopsis***
Wow, what a wonderful gem to stumble upon. I just loved this book and I can't wait to read more from Nikki Harmon. This book is written in the first person, present tense which is really hard to pull off and I haven't found many authors who can do it, but Ms. Harmon does it with style and ease. I really feel like I got to know Dee inside and out. Her voice rang true from start to finish. The way the story follows Dee through two relationships, one is which she dumps her girlfriend and one in which she gets dump, gives this tale a "full circle" feel. The constant is Dee's unwavering love for her high school sweetheart. She searches for Candace but is she ready for Candace? Has Dee become an authentic woman who is ready for love? This is a lovely and well balanced novel that I will stay with me for quite some time.
