The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

5.0

I’ll be honest, I went into this book with doubts. I saw this book all over TikTok and I’ve found that sometimes TikTok’s recommended books aren’t as great as they’re made out to be. I went in expecting another cishet white romance without much diversity.

I am so happy to say I was wrong. We got not only one but two bisexual leads and almost all of the prominent side characters such as Henry’s friends were queer. There was also POC representation which was absolutely amazing.

The story itself was incredible, I loved the story telling, the writing was incredible and the characters all felt so real. It was melancholy but also hopeful, and V.E Schwab couldn’t have done a better job.
