This one certainly went places. It didn’t grip me like the other books, maybe because the characters all came across as a tad bit childish. And there’s a bit point to that, because a lot of what the book is about is rooted in what happened when they were younger.
It’s essentially a book about office politics, but the characters are rather young, so yeah, bit of a disconnect when you’re thinking of how stressful and high stakes work can be to get worried about some of the pettier things that happen in the office.
But the intricacies of the story aren’t that bad. I think I can appreciate it more after the epilogue but that’s quite a commitment.
Still, not the worst. The characters are…something else, I can tell you that.
