you can just tell when reading this that it’s a classic for a reason.
I fear that I am neither media literate enough to fully appreciate this book, nor technically literate enough to write a review that fully gives the book the recognition it deserves. So it goes.
I think it’s incredibly interesting that the book is tagged as funny, as that was not how I felt reading it. There are parts that are absurd, or silly, but I’m not sure funny is the word I would use. Sad and harrowing come to mind when I have to describe this book, and how surprisingly grounded it felt despite some of the more nonsensical things happening.
I like the idea of all time happening at once, with death not being something to mourn. I think having experienced horrors at war, I would react in a similar way.
