Bleeding Edge by Thomas Pynchon

3.0

As modern as postmodern can get, a novel set at the turn of this century during the dotcom bust. A timely novel too, full of internet conspiracy and electronic surveillance. Pynchon's politics seem pretty clear - the neoliberals are the bad guys!

This is great fun almost all the way through but unfortunately loses a bit of momentum after the inevitable 9/11 moment.

Maxine is an unforgettable character.
