Audiobook - 8 hours 24 minutes - I found this very hard to rate and review. How does one place a number on a book I have read probably at least 8 times, that I have loved for nearly a decade, especially in the wake of discourse which tarnishes the author and certain content and themes within the novel? This is my attempt. The writing style is extremely good - engaging, easy to read, but not childish or patronising. The plot is very good once Harry gets to Hogwarts: before this it is a little slow-going and could be better being shorter. There is something extremely comforting about the world the books are built in which makes it instantly enjoyable. It is very difficult to separate nostalgia, frustration, and genuine feelings about this book series, but I tried.
