This is the second in the Royce & Sawyer trilogy, and it's in Royce's POV. Royce has just been promoted to Sergeant, and they are working on a new case.
After the Mayor comes to the chief for help, after she gets a blackmail letter, Royce & Sawyer begin to investigate. It leads them to investigate some arson cases. I love having some time with Blue and his firefighter boyfriend, which are helping with the arson cases. This is my favourite case in this trilogy and involves a purist group causing havoc.
I felt so much for Royce, his view of his best friend was challenged and his secrets were exposed. I really can't stand members of Royce's family, why can't they just be happy for him?! I did do a happy dance with what happened in the bar, go Royce! The ending is really a trial by fire.
