Finally finished Guardian vol.3 and concluded the trilogy. However, I did find the 3rd book the weakest by far out of the three...

When we get to this point, we know a bit of the lore but then I feel we get "lore bombed" with all the things that led to the present of the story. I am a bit week with the whole "destined lovers/soulmates every lifetime" but I feel we didn't get enough of that in the end...

I also didn't particularly like the fact the whole crew were split up most of the book and we kept changing POVs... The overall villain was also such a weak characters, I felt the stakes were so low...

I do think that taking so long to actually get to this book massively impacted my enjoyment as well, so I will confirm that.

I do have plans to continue reading Priest even though by now I'm aware that I don't necessarily enjoy all of her work. Guardian is one of those series where the start is better than the ending, but still overall enjoyable.
