Weyward: A Novel by Emilia Hart
Copywrite 2023

1619: Altha - on trial for allegedly practicing witchcraft
1942: Violet - mistreated by her father for being her mother's daughter, raped by "cousin Frederick"
2019: Kate - physically and mentally abused by her "loving" husband Simon

Three women, five centuries, intertwining stories, dreams, and lives - yet they never physically met. This heart wrenching historical fiction novel of these extraordinary women, all connected by blood, chronicles their stories of abuse, neglect, mistreatment, and misunderstanding. All similar, yet different due to the historical morals and mentality of their time periods. All Weyward's.

I was drawn to the book by the blurb on the back cover and enchanted by their depth of the stories of the three Weyward women. The multiple timelines were easy to follow and the connections between the women was well written. Emilia Hart not only shared their individual stories, but also tied them together smoothly. I loved how each of the women gathered the strength to overcome their awful life circumstances by learning from their ancestors, whether alive or dead.

A truly great novel!
