This book is flawless. The craft is superb. McConaghy knows how to write multiple timelines and make them flow together effortlessly. Not once was I lost in the world she created, and not once did I not get sucked into the story once I picked it back up.
While I didn’t find as much connection in this book as others have, I can absolutely see why this one is widely praised.
Truly, I have no notes. I don’t know why I didn’t connect to this one as much as I had hoped, but do not let me deter you from reading this. An incredible meditation on climate crises, perseverance, hope, and living true to your soul.
