A sequel to "The Maid" book that takes us through solving a murder by unique characters that is amusing enough to be a fun read ^_______^

Pick it up if you want to read a good cozy mystery book with a simple storyline and neat & clean writing.

I remember reading "The Maid" last year and actually loving it so much. I was absolutely in love with Molly. I thought I should definitely pick up whatever this author writes next. But it slipped my mind to keep track of it. But I recently came across a post about this book & I immediately went ahead to purchase this. Didn't even mind reading the synopsis.

I'm definitely not disappointed, because this book was really fun & I enjoyed reading it ♥️

If you have read the previous book, you would not be surprised when you get to meet molly in this one. She is the Head maid of the regency grand hotel, the position she takes very seriously & wears her badge so proudly.

I just love how observant she is & might come as unattached emotionally but the way she handles everything & cares makes me love her more.

I love how she is unapologetically & totally herself

We also get introduced to lily who is getting trained to be a maid under Molly's guidance.

The story starts with a famous writer falling dead in a recently renovated grand tearoom with a room full of people assembled to hear some kind of secret announcement by the writer. Obviously the announcement doesn't happen & who did it forms the rest of the story.

And Lily gets struck in the crosshairs as she was one who served the Tea for the author.

The story is shown from two different timelines; past & present both from Molly's perspective.

In the present we get to see the non linear investigation executed by Angela, a crime podcast fan & hotel staff. She pulls reculant Molly in too. And they discover some stuff then some then some then the "Who part".

In the past we get to see glimpses into Molly's childhood with her gran & coincidently the time when her gran worked for this famous writer.

Though the final reveal was not that much impactful, I felt it tied everything beautifully with emotional bow.
