Buddy Read w/ Ola !!

If the trashiness of reality TV were a book, it'd be this one.

Knowing that this book came out in 2015 makes me understand why it is the way it is because it's very reminiscent of that era of YA books. Still, it definitely doesn't hold up to today's standard of books in my humble opinion.

The main issue that I had with this book is the characters. All. Of. Them. They were all annoying and bland and I still have no clue why there was a love triangle because Mare was the most boring of them all. The relationships were underdeveloped and didn't always make sense.

I can say that while I was unhappy reading this, I also was flying through it. So yay to my suffering ending faster.

I guess I can see the hype around this book, especially for the people who read it closer to when it was released. It's very similar to Throne of Glass so if you're a fan of one you'd probably like the other.

Not my thing but at least I got to rant about it with my friend.
