In Sequence by Cole McCade

5.0

The episode begins with another horrific death by the hands of the Golden Ratio Killer. Cole McCade’s writing is amazing. It makes you feel like you are in the book and seeing everything that is happening right in front of you. I will be using horrific in this review a lot, but the images from the killing scenes are so horrifying.

The scene where Sila is breaking out from the handcuffs was so gruesome I had to take a break. I don’t know what Sila is planning, and I’m scared to know. There has to be a reason why Sila didn’t leave even though there was so many chances to leave.

The little moments between Seong-Jae and Mal make me so happy, and those moments are a nice break from the case of the Golden Ratio Killer. Seeing their progression from the first season and now is such a huge change. Seong-Jae is opening up to Mal and letting him into his life more than ever. It makes me emotional when Seong-Jae open ups and shares his feelings with Mal because he is usually closed off and has a guard up. It makes my heart happy that Seong-Jae feels so safe and trusting with Mal that he can share his sexual pain kinks with him. When he thinks that Mal won’t love him anymore if he knew, I was like Seong-Jae he’s so in love with you. They are so in love with each other. It’s so great to read about their journey in falling in love and being together in the face of all the traumatic events in their lives.

I enjoyed being in Sade and Huang’s POV even though it made me feel so many emotions. I love being a part of the journey. I just want Sade and Huang to be happy together.

Cole McCade doesn’t disappoint with this new episode. I’m not surprised. It’s barely the 2nd episode of the season, and it’s already so horrifying and dark. I already know it’s not going to stop here. I have never read someone like the Golden Ratio Killer before. All his thoughts and kills and everything about him are so horrifying and scare me. I can’t begin to comprehend how his mind works. As we learn more about him, the darker the story gets. I am ready for the 3rd episode. Thank you Cole McCade for such an amazing series and group of complex characters. I know I will never get tired of these characters and story. I will read anything Cole McCade writes. Please read this series, you won’t regret it! :)
