I really enjoyed this one. The two main characters were kind and relatable. The premise was interesting... they met at a cemetery while visiting their loved ones who recently passed and decided to meet there on that day every year to update each other on life and share their grief. Over the years, their friendship grew. I loved seeing the relationship develop beyond their once a year updates. It showed how important vulnerable friendships are to our growth as people and to our mental health. Of course I read some of the most emotional parts of the book while on a flight; be warned there are some moments where you may find some tears leak out. Keep some tissues handy! I can imagine this book would be more challenging if you have recently lost someone because the grief the characters experience was so palpable, even for someone who hasn't really experienced such loss.
