Definitely one of those books where the sequel is better than the original. With the setup of Janie's gift out of the way, we can jump right into trouble. Janie and Cabe are out to catch a suspected sexual predator at their high school. Janie is set up as bait and Cabe is less than thrilled about it. It doesn't take long to find their target, but things quickly spiral out of control.

At the same time, Janie finds out more than she wanted to know about her future as a dream catcher.

I'm a sucker for scars, emotional or otherwise, and Janie and Cabel have them in spades. Luckily they've also got Captain who gives me the warm fuzzies each time she shows up.
