Okay so maybe nostalgia hits a little too hard for this, but I absolutely adore this trilogy. It may not be everyone's cup of tea which is fine but I really love the characters so much. The main villain and the plot is not as strong as it could be, especially in this book. I just had fun hanging with Jem, Will, and Tessa in the institute. Also Charlotte is such an icon in this book too that you easily come to love her in this one. I think that Cassandra Claire's strength here is the characters and if you like a lot of angst and fun this book is for you. The next two are a lot more action packed if that throws you off reading the other two.
