Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes

reread this book for the first time in years and while I can see why it was my favorite at the time, I've changed much as a reader since then and while I still did really enjoy this book (shout of to my g daniel keys for breaking me out of my reading slump) it wasn't as novel (Hehe) and enticing as it was years prior. For some reason it didn't have as much of an emotional grasp on me but the message still stands, being a smarty pants isnt everything.
i found it interesting that religion was used as the main adversary to the argument of artificial intelligence in the book. I feel like there are so many otherc ounter agruemnts to explore, and i wish keys would.
i have more to say but i want to let this book merinate for a bit first. that being said i still enjoyed it a bunch and im glad to be back on the reader grind :)
